This user-land stack uses the FreeBSD kernel sources for SCTP and makes the functionality available as a user-land library. This work is a result of a cooperation between Humaira Kamal, Brad Penoff, and Alan Wagner from the Department of Computer Science of the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, funded by Cisco University Research Grant, and Irene Rüngeler and Michael Tüxen from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Münster University of Applied Sciences.

The User-land stack is provided under a BSD license. Please note that we are adding more examples and the API might change. That is why we have a version number below 1.0. If you have suggestions, please let us know. The current version is 0.9.0.
