This work is a result of a cooperation between Siemens and the Münster University of Applied Sciences.
The testtool uses the Guile scheme implementation, version 1.8.0 or higher, which run under various Unix platforms. Furthermore the operating system must provide kernel SCTP support. Tested operating systems include Linux (with a recent kernel), Mac OS X and the KAME SCTP implementation for FreeBSD. Solaris should also work, but is currently not tested. You need guile-sctp to access SCTP functionality from Guile.
This library extends Guile such that it supports simple SCTP specific socket API funtions. It is provided under the GPL. You can download guile-sctp. It requires guile 1.8 or higher. This is part of FC 6 or Suse 10.2. You can also compile it under Mac OS X 10.4 and higher.
The M3UA testtool is an programmable packet generator. The ETSI conformance tests for M3UA have been implemented. The packet generator and the implementation of the ETSI conformance tests are provided under a BSD style license.
